
Gatchina Palace Park – one of the most beautiful and mysterious suburban parks of St. Petersburg – the official website of the park says. Seeing the monument to Emperor Paul I and visiting the palace, be sure to go down to the underground passage. And start the overview of the park from the Jordan porch. You will have a view of the Silver Meadow and the opposite shore of the White Lake. Then you can visit the Private Garden, see the Palace Gardens, Karpin Bridge with a cascade, Karpin Pond, a series of bridges and the Admiralty. An unforgettable impression is made by Silver Lake with the Echo Grotto and the Octagonal Well.
For lovers of mysteries and secrets – the Amphitheater and the Oryol column with a clearing and a view of the Oryol pavilion in the southern part of the park, and then the forest part – Sylvia Park, with a stone fence and gates of the 18th century.
Gatchina Park is open to visitors for free daily from 06.00 to 22.00
